In the 90's I lived in an apartment directly across the street from the National Cathedral. I have memories of sitting on the steps at night during an electrical storm, listening from afar to a concert of Aaron Copeland music, and wandering the rose gardens. As a Catholic I did feel the lack of the Lord's Eucharistic Presence, but it was still beautiful. Especially of note - the frontpiece by Fredrick Hart, "Ex Nihilo". Fantastic!

What a wonderful memory, Francesca! There is truly nothing like that place. All the best, Peter Darcy
