"Did you mean "boring" in the sense that it took only 4 votes and only 2 days to elect a new Pope compared to what happened in Viterbo? Viterbo was a thousand years old compared to the modern times of course. I was actually crying when I saw the white smoke maybe of excitement or was just too emotional for the religious history unfolding on TV .

Hi Virginia, yes, I was trying to be a bit clever with language when I said boring. It was just a comparison with the drama of the past. The conclaves have come a long way, haven't they?!

That was understood especially for a good writer when you have to play with words. The comparison is so evident that it creates the drama that you're talking about.
